Busch and his wife, Samantha, helped create the Bundle of Joy Fund in 2015 after their own struggles with infertility. More than a decade later, the nonprofit has helped fund more than 100 births through in vitro fertilization treatments and continues to support families pursuing parenthood.
According to the organization's latest figures, Bundle of Joy has awarded 178 grants totaling approximately $2.3 million to couples undergoing IVF treatment. Those grants have resulted in 111 births, with additional Bundle of Joy babies expected in the months ahead.
The Busches launched the charity after a years-long fertility journey of their own. Following more than a decade of infertility struggles, the couple turned to IVF and welcomed their son, Brexton, in May 2015.
Samantha Busch has often spoken about how the experience inspired them to help others facing similar challenges.
"Understanding that bill, I mean it's around $20,000 and there's no guarantee for a baby, that's just for a chance," Samantha previously told The Tennessean. "We just knew that God placed it on our heart that we needed to start the Bundle of Joy Fund."
The organization provides financial assistance to qualifying couples seeking fertility treatments, with grants of up to $20,000 available through partner clinics.
In the days following Busch's death, supporters flooded the nonprofit with donations, reflecting the impact the program has had on families across the country.
While Busch's racing accomplishments made him one of NASCAR's most recognizable drivers, the Bundle of Joy Fund may stand as one of his most enduring contributions away from the track.
For more than 100 families, that legacy can be seen every day in the children who might not have been born without it.
