NASCAR, WWE join packed USA Sports lineup in 2026

A change is taking place across the sports landscape as several leagues join the newly launched USA Sports in 2026.

Versant Media Group, the parent company of USA Network and many other NBC Universal brands, has brought together several sports under the umbrella of USA Sports. This includes NASCAR, WWE, the PGA Tour, the WNBA, the Premier League, and League One Volleyball among other sports.

According to the Nov. 12 announcement, this brand will have "10,000 hours of action-packed programming across USA Network, Golf Channel, and CNBC" while making it easier for sports fans to find something to watch.

"Our new USA Sports brand and division name leans into USA Network's decades-long reputation as a top national sports and entertainment network," said USA Sports president Matt Hong in a press release. "USA Sports has something for all sports fans across the country."

For NASCAR, in particular, this lineup will include the final 14 races of the Cup Series season. Ten of these races will air on USA Network while four will air on NBC.

Additionally, USA Sports will air more than 50 WNBA games and more than 40 Atlantic 10 men's and women's college basketball games. It will air more than 175 Premier League matches during the 2025-26 season. "WWE SmackDown" will continue to air on Friday nights for fans of professional wrestling.

Golf fans will have no shortage of opportunities to watch the U.S. Open, U.S. Women's Open, Open Championship, and AIG Women's Open on USA Network. The Golf Channel will also air "roughly 3,200 hours" of live golf coverage in 2026.

This move to this new brand follows a significant change by Comcast. The company spun off its digital and cable portfolio into its own entity, Versant Media, while keeping its broadband, streaming, and theme park operations together.

This new Versant Media umbrella included MSNBC, CNBC, USA Network, E!, Syfy, Oxygen, Golf Channel, Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, and SportsEngine.
