NASCAR has announced that North Wilkesboro Speedway will host its All-Star Race in 2024.

In 2023, North Wilkesboro Speedway returned to the NASCAR Cup Series schedule as the venue for the All-Star Race, marking North Wilkesboro's first time hosting the NASCAR Cup Series since 1996.
There were rumors that the track could host a points-paying race in 2024, but the track will have to wait another year for that goal to be realized.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. was one the leaders in bringing back the once abandoned track. Earnhardt Jr. is happy that the track is coming back next season hosting the All-Star Race.

Earnhardt Jr. co-owns the CARS Tour, which will kick off the week of racing at North Wilkesboro on Tuesday, May 14. The week ends with the All-Star Race on May 19.
The schedule for that week will be:
Tuesday May 14 - CARS late model stocks
Wednesday May 15 - Pro late models
Friday May 17 - Pit crew challenge
Saturday May 18 - Craftsman Truck Series
Sunday May 19 - NASCAR Cup Series All-Star Race
There will be one big change done to the track before all these series return next May. The track will be repaved, replacing the surface that had virtually gone untouched since the Cup Series last ran at North Wilkesboro in 1996.
There were many cracks in the racetrack, and it had to get repaved sooner rather than later if it hopes to host a points-paying Cup Series race. If NASCAR can make the right adjustments to the short track package on the next-gen car, North Wilkesboro could turn into one of the best tracks on the circuit.
North Wilkesboro was one of the hottest tickets to have in 2023, and after the initial event's success, there shouldn't be any reason for the place to not sell out again in 2024.
There are still more details pending announcement concerning entertainment at the racetrack during the All-Star weekend, but one thing we know—NASCAR will be back at North Wilkesboro with the Craftsman Truck Series and the NASCAR Cup Series for the All-Star Race in 2024. Good news indeed.
