According to a Tuesday press release, the Texas native has signed a multi-year extension to continue driving the No. 17 Ford Mustang in the NASCAR Cup Series. This will continue a relationship that began when Buescher joined the team as a development driver in 2009.
"RFK Racing has been home for most of my racing career, and that's something I don't take for granted," Buescher said. "I've grown up with this organization, and I'm incredibly proud of what we've built together over the last several years.
"The direction we're heading, the people we have in place, and the commitment throughout the company make me excited about the future. I'm grateful to Mr. Jack, Brad, Fenway Sports Group and everyone at RFK Racing for their belief in me. I'm looking forward to continuing to chase wins and championships together."

Buescher has achieved success in multiple stock car racing series while driving cars owned by Jack Roush.
He won several races in the ARCA Menards Series, as well as the 2012 championship. He then won the 2015 O'Reilly Auto Parts Series championship after a two-win season.
Buescher started his Cup Series career with Front Row Motorsports in 2016, and he won the fog-shortened race at Pocono as a rookie. He then spent three seasons with JTG Daugherty Racing (2017-2019) before ultimately returning to the RFK Racing ranks in 2020.
Since making the move back to the team with which he won a championship, Buescher has scored five wins. He captured a career-best three wins in 2023 and made it to the second round of the playoffs. One year later, he defeated Shane van Gisbergen at Watkins Glen International.
Buescher continues to seek his first win since the 2024 season, but he has remained in contention for a spot in The Chase. He enters San Diego weekend sitting seventh in the Cup Series standings. He is 110 points above the cutline.
