Tyler Reddick's stock (pun intended) as a NASCAR driver has certainly risen over the years. First bursting onto the professional scene in 2013, the Corning, California native had several solid years in the Truck Series before moving to the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2017. After winning back-to-back Xfinity titles (one with Richard Childress Racing and one with JR Motorsports), Reddick transitioned full-time to the NASCAR Cup Series. After spending three seasons driving the No. 8 Chevrolet Camaro for RCR — earning three wins, an additional 37 top-10 finishes, and two playoff appearances during that time — Reddick moved to 23XI Racing for the 2023 season, where he'll drive the No. 45 Toyota.

While Tyler's day job is intense and strenuous, he keeps a pretty low-key personal life and spends most of his down time with his girlfriend Alexa De Leon and their young son Beau Reddick at their home in Mooresville, North Carolina. Sounds like a pretty sweet life to me!
Getting to Know Alexa De Leon
Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Alexa De Leon now lives in Mooresville with her family of three. She keeps a pretty fairly profile, with most of her social media photos showing her cheering on Tyler during race day, hanging out with family and friends, and taking care of the adorable Beau.
While she isn't active on Twitter these days, it's clear that Alexa isn't just a fan of NASCAR. Being from Chicago, she's also a huge Cubs fan (though, judging from her last tweet, her fandom of longtime Cubs great Anthony Rizzo lasted even after he went over to the Yankees).
Alexa has been dating Tyler Reddick since at least 2018 (she prefers calling him George, after his middle name). The two have been through a lot together, but it's the story of how they came up with the name for their son that really shows how dedicated to the NASCAR life they both are.
The Story Behind Beau Reddick's Name
On July 20, 2019, while the Xfinity Series was competing at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Tyler announced on Instagram that he and Alexa would be expecting their first child. As it turns out, they couldn't decide on a name. Thus came the infamous championship bet. It was a simple enough premise: if Tyler won the 2019 Xfinity Series championship, he would be allowed to pick the name. He had already won the title the year before, so why not a repeat? Easier said than done, to be sure.
Coming off the New Hampshire race — where he placed fourth, by the way — Tyler racked up 10 top-five finishes heading into the championship race at Homestead-Miami Speedway, including wins at Bristol and Las Vegas. Then came the title race in Homestead. Wouldn't you know, Tyler raced his way to back-to-back titles.
So, what name did he decide to go with? Tyler Jr.? Richard Dale, after two racing legends? NASCAR?
Almost instantly after winning the race, Tyler took off his helmet, pointed at Alexa's stomach, and yelled out "Baby Beau!" On January 18, 2020, baby Beau was born. You can bet that Alexa breathed a sigh of relief that Tyler didn't decide to go with NASCAR...
Just like Mom, Beau loves cheering Dad on from the grandstands. Most recently, Beau was seen celebrating with his parents after Tyler won the 2022 Verizon 200 at the Brickyard at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, which marked just the second Cup win of his career. It's too early to tell whether or not Beau will follow in his father's footsteps and pursue a career as a race car driver, but it sure does seem like he has a fun time at the track!
