The event organizers announced Ingham's passing with a statement on May 28. They said that the crash occurred at Doran's Bend, a tricky corner on the course, during the first lap of the third qualifying session.
Ingham is no stranger to the Isle of Man, having competed there many times over a 10-year period. He previously raced in the Manx Grand Prix, which is known as an event that amateur riders can use to familiarize themselves with the Isle of Man.
The Manx Grand Prix tasks them with completing several multi-lap races on the 37.72-mile circuit. Ingham won the Senior Manx Grand Prix by more than 30 seconds in August 2024.
