Jack Beckman is a drag racing legend. They call him "Fast Jack" for a reason, and back on July 31, 2015, Beckham lived up to the nickname when he put up the quickest run in NHRA history with a time of 3.921 seconds at 323.43 mph during qualifying at the Sonoma Nationals.

This is one of those blink-and-you'll-miss-it type moments. Absolutely unreal.
Now, breaking records is what Jack Beckman does best, so he wasn't just content with recording an incredible qualifying time. The very next day, the Don Schumacher Racing driver clocked in a 3.958-second run and set the National E.T. (elapsed time) record in a Funny Car. It's like the guy was born to do this.
Growing up in California's San Fernando Valley in the early '80s, Jack's first loves were actually baseball and skateboarding. When he was just seven years old, he attended his first drag racing events at Orange County International Raceway. He instantly became hooked. A couple decades later, he would start amassing the kind of accolades that earned him his "Fast Jack" moniker.
In 2003, Beckman won the NHRA Super Comp world championship in the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series. In 2008, he was No. 3 in Funny Car point standings, with three victories in seven final rounds. In 2012, he won the NHRA Funny Car Full Throttle championship. He has 34 national event wins and 72 final rounds to his name.
A consultant for Frank Hawley's Drag Racing School, Beckman isn't just a badass for his Funny Car feats. The 55-year-old is a cancer survivor and uses his platform as a spokesperson for cancer awareness.
On top of that, Beckman is also a former sergeant in the United States Air Force, has helped raise more than $75,000 for the Infinite Hero Foundation, and on May 2013, he was presented with the U.S. Air Force Wall of Achievers honor.
Is there anything this guy can't do?
