The Swiftie/NFL world has crossed paths with the racing world, or so it appears, as Danny Frye III (DF3), a dirt racer who spent the past week racing at the Chili Bowl in his native Oklahoma, had some news to share about the Taylor Swift/ Travis Kelce relationship.
Frye, who happens to be Swift's cousin, admits he had something to do with Swift and Kelce meeting. That's right, a racer turned matchmaker for one of today's hottest "It" power couples. It looks like Frye was the 'cupid', Kelce referred to in an interview two months ago about his relationship with Swift.
Fyre spoke with FloRacing's Matthew Dillner during the Chili Bowl about his relationship with his cousin Swift, and how he has tagged along to some Chiefs games this season.
"We grew up pretty close," Frye says. "Obviously since she's exploded, it's made it a little difficult at times. We grew up together, she grew up right outside of Philadelphia up until about high school. then moved to Nashville and obviously, has been doing alright since moving there," Frye said. "I've been going to a few Chiefs games, been having uh, you know, made a love connection between her and Travis Kelce. So, yeah I guess it's been quite the 34 years we've had together."
Does that mean Swift and perhaps Kelce will appear at a dirt race, or any race for that matter? Racing has longed for more viewers, and everyone knows how many eyeballs jump to the screen if Taylor Swift is involved. Frye admits he has tried his hardest.
"I've been trying, she's not the biggest racing fan," Frye said. "She has politely turned me down a little bit."
NASCAR does race at Kansas Speedway twice a year, perhaps the pair could pay a visit in 2024.
In the end, it's crazy how Danny Frye, a dirt racer, was the one that was able to match Taylor and Travis. The Chiefs have plenty to still play for in the NFL Playoffs, so perhaps you might spot Frye sitting near Swift at the Chiefs games.
