JJ Watt has made a World Cup fan's year with a big gesture. He hooked them up with a massive hotel suite in Houston, Texas.

Freddy, a German soccer fan, has become a viral sensation during the early days of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. He has documented his travels across parts of the United States, and he has built up a massive fanbase in the process as countless people have responded to his joy.
Watt, a five-time All-Pro defender, showed his support for Freddy's adventures when he saw that the German was traveling from Tennessee to Texas by way of Alabama and Louisiana.
He told Freddy that he had his accommodations covered for Houston, so that Freddy could watch Germany defeat Curacao 7-1.

Well, Freddy showed off this hotel suite. It featured two massive beds, a couch, and countless gifts. The list included a fruit basket, an autographed No. 99 Watt Texans jersey, gift bags, and other merchandise.
Posts later in the trip revealed that the team had received some cupcake gifts, as well as merchandise from the Houston Rockets.
"We're glad to have you Freddy," Watt wrote on X after Freddy posted a video of the hotel suite. "Houston is a special place, we'll make sure you're treated right."
The fancy hotel suite in Houston is not the only warm welcome that Freddy has received during his travels across the United States. He has also spent time visiting some of the top athletic facilities in the Southeast.
The World Cup fans received a tour of facilities for LSU soccer, the New Orleans Saints, and the New Orleans Pelicans. Each time they stopped at one of these facilities, they received a wide assortment of merchandise.
The trip will only continue after the unforgettable experience in Houston. Freddy will continue traveling the United States while taking in World Cup matches.
