ACC officially announces Jimbo Fisher fine, reprimand after he tore into officials

Jimbo Fisher had no problem going after the refs.

Jimbo Fisher has been fined $20,000 and publicly reprimanded by the ACC after his criticism of officials following Saturday's dramatic 37-34 loss to Clemson.

Fisher went in on the refs, calling them "gutless" and "cowardly" while also yelling about accountability after a questionable chop block call brought back a huge 50-yard run by Dalvin Cook. Fisher picked up another penalty for screaming at the officials in addition to the penalty.

The ACC announced it found Fisher's postgame comments in "direct violation of the ACC Sportsmanship Policy," and considers the matter closed.

It's a tough blow for the Seminole's whose minor hopes of sneaking into the College Football Playoffs are all but over.
