Art Briles may be out of a job after the Baylor sexual assault scandal, but former UCLA coach Rick Neuheisel doesn't think that unemployment will last long for Briles.

Neuheisel, now of CBS Sports, spoke about Auburn's coaching situation on Sirius XM Radio this week, and Neuheisel thinks that Briles could wind up at Auburn regardless of what happens to current Tigers head coach Gus Malzahn.

"Art Briles will be at Auburn next year," Neuheisel said. "Whether as the head coach or offensive coordinator, Briles to Auburn with with [quarterback] Jarrett Stidham."

Stidham announced his intention to transfer from Baylor after the Briles firing, and he has already visited Auburn at least twice since then. The Tigers are considered the heavy favorite to land the former five-star quarterback recruit, and bringing Briles on board would certainly expedite that process.
Briles getting a significant job so soon after his dismissal would certainly raise eyebrows around the nation. Maybe a coordinator job would work better for Briles, but getting a head coaching job in the SEC after what happened at Baylor? That would be too much, too soon.
