Colin Cowherd fires back at ESPN after blatant shots at FOX Sports 1

He's got a point.

ESPN and Fox Sports 1 have been engaging in heated trash talk recently, and FS1's Colin Cowherd said he is "shocked" at the actions of his former employee.

Cowherd said he is surprised the Worldwide Leader would take so many shots at the upstart FS1, who employs several former ESPN employees—including Cowherd, Skip Bayless and Jason Whitlock. Cowherd said the company should instead be celebrating its first Oscar nomination for "O.J.: Made in America."

Cowherd addresses the controversy at around the two minute mark.

"I do know that really, really good people from my former employer were Oscar-nominated yesterday for 'O.J.: Made in America," Cowherd said. "If I ran that company, I would be spending the next week lauding the effort of those people. That, I think, is one of the great moments and achievements in the history of my former employer. I am shocked they would spend, on that day, (time) taking shots at the new kid in town. That is remarkable."

ESPN has lost a record number of subscribers in recent months, so that might explain why they are going after FS1. Their ratings are still better than almost all programs on FS1, but it's still entertaining to see the two go after each other.
