"American Greetings and Crocker Park commend the swift action taken by Westlake Police and Fire Departments," Lisa Schwan, the director of communications for Stark Enterprises, told Fox 8 News. "We are extremely grateful to report only property damage and no injuries. American Greetings and Crocker Park are working with authorities, and more information on the incident will be released as those details become available."
According to fire officials, at least 10 fire departments responded to the incident. It first started as a fire near two propane tanks, then one tank exploded, causing the huge blast.
"There was a fire ball that shot up over the roof of the building," a construction worker told reporters.
One witness said he felt the ground shake at an Auntie Anne's stand, and some reported that some businesses were evacuated.
Crock Park officials said the cause is under investigation and no one was injured.
