Chip Kelly is reportedly 'interested' in a job other than Florida

Oh really now?

Chip Kelly has been heavily linked to the Florida opening for the head coaching job. Some people have said that he would be a 1,000 percent fit in the SEC while Colin Cowherd has said that he would be a "great fit at Florida," but it looks like Kelly may have interest elsewhere. According to a report from SBNation, Kelly is "interested" in the UCLA job and reports may be coming in more rapidly now that Jim Mora has been fired by the school.

Kelly knows how to recruit the area considering he spent so much time at Oregon and turned them into national title contenders. Given a chance to recruit at the likes of UCLA with the talent in the immediate area would be huge for him and he could get them back on track to truly compete with USC in due time. He's also known to be a West Coast guy and it would likely make him a little more comfortable than heading to the Southeast and trying to compete in recruiting with the likes of Kirby Smart, Nick Saban and other SEC powers.

The report also says that Kelly is "known to be eyeing West Coast jobs," but it doesn't specify which other ones. There might be a few that open like Oregon again if Willie Taggart leaves after only one year there.
