Alabama defeated Georgia in a 26-23 overtime thriller on Monday night to win college football's national championship. The Crimson Tide were also rewarded with the No. 1 spot in the final AP Poll of the season, but that vote was NOT unanimous, as 13-0 Central Florida (UCF) — who finished sixth in the poll — was able to snipe away four first-place votes from Alabama.

While UCF did not come close to taking the No. 1 spot in the final AP Poll, the Knights have been doing their own work to proclaims themselves as national champions following their 13-0 season. UCF threw their own parade, are hanging a banner in honor of the "national championship", and will even award their coaches the national championship bonuses in their contracts.
That said, Alabama will still be taking home the coveted College Football Playoff trophy, as Nick Saban and his team take yet another championship trophy home to Tuscaloosa.
