Oddly enough, it comes in the form of Director of Recruiting for the Michigan Wolverines Matt Dudek.
"He's a friend to me," Anderson told 247Sports. "We talk about life and everything, not just football. Matt Dudek is the X-Factor. If someone asks me what makes Michigan special, I tell them Dudek. He's extremely important to me."
When Anderson announced his transfer, he initially had five schools on his list, but he's currently down to just four — Texas, Michigan, Auburn, and Oklahoma.
"It is 100 percent a God decision," Anderson said. "Everything I've done to this point in my life has been a God decision. He leads people and gives me direction. If success is coming to me, it's because of Him. I'll be praying to God. He will make it clear and I will listen to His voice when he speaks to me.
"It's really simple. You have a relationship with God through faith and believing in Him. Talking to Him on a regular basis is how I know how He speaks to me. He will make it clear to me."
Anderson also said he doesn't imagine this process going longer than March 25.
Per NCAA transfer rules, since graduating, Anderson will be immediately eligible to play.
Anderson was a three-year starter for the Rice Owls. Having NFL aspirations, after discussing it with his father, he realized the best choice was to join a power program to showcase his skills.
