LSU Tigers fans have been spoiled by good quarterback play. In 2019, Joe Burrow put together one of the best single-seasons in NCAA history en route to a College Football Playoff victory against Clemson.

In 2020, the Tigers landed four-star QB Garrett Nussmeier. Will he be the one to come close to replicating Burrow's numbers?
Nussmeuer thrived at Marcus High School in Flower Mound, Texas, and will be suiting up at the college level this fall.

Before agreeing to move to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Nussmeier weighed offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Georgia, Miami, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma State, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt.
Head coach Ed Orgeron has been able to attract elite signees since the national championship, and even though offensive lineman Dare Rosenthal entered the transfer portal, Oregorn was able to sign four-star tackle Garrett Dellinger. The addition of Nussmeier certainly helps bolster this year's recruiting class.

Nussmeier built a relationship with offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger and passing game coordinator Scott Linehan, but both coaches won't be with the team in 2021.
The pro-style quarterback arrived on campus in January.

For Nussmeier, it is all in the family. His father is Doug Nussmeier, who played for the New Orleans Saints in the 1990s. He is currently on the Dallas Cowboys' coaching staff and has worked with Alabama and Florida.
LSU football is getting yet another quarterback prospect in this year's batch of recruits. Garrett Nussmeier will get the opportunity to cement himself into the starter's role, and with some good fortune, he could hear his name called on ESPN during a future NFL Draft.
