4-Star Lineman, Son of Former NFL Vet, Signs With CFP Contender

Rocco Spindler has quite the future ahead of him. The four-star offensive guard put scouts on notice at Clarkston High School in Michigan, and he will continue his playing career with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in 2021.

Spindler has an abundance of talent and justified NFL aspirations. His father, Marc Spindler, is a former All-American at Pittsburgh who played nine seasons in the league with the Detroit Lions and New York Jets.

Now, it's Rocco's time to shine.

Rocco Spindler chose to play for a historically excellent NCAA program, but he had plenty of those to decide between when making his final decision.

Teams like Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, LSU, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Syracuse, Tennessee, and Wisconsin were all involved in the sweepstakes.

Naturally, the Wolverines were finalists for the in-state talent, but Spindler ultimately decided to join head coach Brian Kelly's recruiting class.

Along with Blake Fisher, the Irish are going to have an incredible offensive line over the next few seasons.

Rocco Spindler's highlights are incredible, and so is his track record.

The 247Sports Composite is in love with Spindler's game. They rank him as the third-best guard in the country and believe that working with a reputable college football coaching staff will unlock even more success.

For a big man, Spindler has plenty of athleticism. He has experience as a defensive tackle as well, but his work as a blocker earns him his acclaim. Clarkston reached two state title games with Spindler on the roster.
