The Gen 7 Ford Mustang is now available to purchase in Fortnite. It is a new addition to the Item Shop, and it includes multiple different decals to shake up the car's appearance.

Fortnite is an online competitive multiplayer game created by Epic Games. It started in 2017 as a tower defense game but has since expanded to feature several game modes. It has also become the home of crossovers with multiple properties, including Star Wars, John Wick, Marvel, and the NFL.

The NASCAR pack, which costs 2,200 Fornite V-Bucks, has liveries for Team Penske, Wood Brothers Racing, Front Row Motorsports, and RFK Racing. It also has a "classic" look featuring the colored stripes and a checkered pattern. It has another livery bearing the old Ford Performance logos.

This officially-licensed in-game vehicle also has the Gen 7 engine sounds, and it sits on a set of Goodyear Eagles to fully deliver that Cup Series experience.

Those with V-Bucks in their Fortnite account can secure this vehicle for 2,200 while also unlocking the vehicle for the automotive soccer game, Rocket League.

Those without V-Bucks will have to part ways with real money to acquire a bundle. These vary in price based on the amount of V-Bucks included. A pack of 800 costs $8.99 while a pack of 2,400 costs $22.99.

This partnership with Fortnite continues NASCAR's move into other mediums, especially the video game world. The top level of stock car racing has been represented in multiple properties in recent seasons while looking to expand the fanbase.

Obviously, games such as NASCAR 26 present the sport in one light. Those are for a more dedicated crowd that wants to take part in actual races.

Some players, however, want to use a Gen 7 car to launch a soccer ball across a field. Others want to hit a massive jump in Hawaii while chasing down a wide variety of other vehicles.

Back in 2022 and 2023, NASCAR brought its three Next Gen cars to Rocket League. The players had the ability to acquire the Toyota Camry, Chevrolet Camaro, and Ford Mustang. They could also acquire approximately 15 team specific decals or a special look highlighting the sport's 75th anniversary.

Similarly, NASCAR joined forces with Ubisoft earlier this year for a special pack focused on The Crew Motorfest. This add-on for the open-world racing game brought the three Gen 7 cars into the Hawaiian landscape.

It also introduced a story campaign focused on a new driver competing under the Henson Racing banner. In this story mode, the player-controlled character suffered a setback in their racing career. They had to rebuild from scratch while working with Coach Roy Henson.

The player worked through some lower-level events before taking on The Finals, a set of races featuring the biggest names from the NASCAR Cup Series. The player had to beat such stars as Joey Logano, Kyle Larson, and Bubba Wallace before ultimately facing off with their in-game rival one final time.
