Mike Tyson Cussing Out a Reporter on Live TV Never Gets Old

Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. are set to square off in an unforgettable boxing match in Los Angeles, proving that 50-something-year-olds can do much more than drink beer and watch football while sitting on the couch.

That being said, much of Iron Mike's past will come to light during the fight. Fans and viewers will surely talk about his epic escapades inside and outside the ring. His wife (and the crazy Brad Pitt story) and his children surely will be trending topics on social media as well.

Given that "The Baddest Man on the Planet" is throwing on the boxing gloves for the first time in more than 15 years, we have to relive the time the 54-year-old former heavyweight champion snapped on a reporter and probably made him wet himself.

Don't ever piss off Mike Tyson.

Tyson stopped by a TV station in Toronto to talk about his show back in 2014.

What starts out as a friendly conversation with reporter Nathan Downer about hanging out with the city's mayor quickly turns into a monsoon of rage from Tyson while his promoter, Al Choko, sits next to him.

About a minute into the clip, Downer asks a question he likely wished he didn't.

"Some of your critics would say, you know, there's a race for mayor. You know you're a convicted rapist. This could hurt his campaign. How would you respond to that?"

Tyson: "I don't know who said that. You're the only one I heard say that. You know what I mean? I don't have no comment to that because it's negative. You're being negative."

OK, not a bad response from Iron Mike. But as the interview goes on, you can tell Tyson is still thinking about that question and seething at heart.

Then, chaos:

"You come across as a nice guy, but you're really a piece of s***," Tyson blurts out. "F*** you. That was a piece of s***."

Downer tells him they're on live TV, and Tyson cares not one bit. After a few more back-and-forth exchanges, Tyson then steps his insult game up and calls him a "rat piece of s***."

The reporter quickly wraps up the interview, and I don't blame him one bit. Getting Tyson off the set must have been pretty awkward. My bet is that Downer took lunch immediately and filed for the witness protection program.

Of course, this isn't the only wild interview Mike Tyson has ever done. Just this month, he took his shirt off to show his muscles on Good Morning America. He also stumbled his way through an interview with Piers Morgan (in which he asked him about Donald Trump) on Good Morning Britain last October.

Whether it be strange appearances on GMA or GMB or old clips like this one, Mike Tyson's whole career has been centered around bizarre instances.

Mike Tyson stepping in the ring for an exhibition fight isn't the weirdest thing to happen in this coronavirus pandemic and COVID-19 outbreak-stricken 2020, but this clip sure as heck could be. I just can't wait for his post-fight press conference.
