Florida State starting running back will 'most likely' be out for the season after injury

You hate to see this.

Florida State's season has not gone the way anyone thought it would with starting quarterback Deondre Francois losing his season to injury and now going 2-4 to start the season. The brutal news doesn't stop there though as starting running back Jacques Patrick is "most likely" done for the season according to coach Jimbo Fisher who relayed that info on an ESPN Radio show on Monday morning.

He suffered a knee injury in the 31-28 loss to Louisville on Saturday and becomes the third starter to lose out on his season joining Francois and offensive lineman Landon Dickerson. Should Patrick miss the rest of the season like Fisher thinks he will have finished with 76 carries for 434 yards rushing and a touchdown. The load at running back will now fall to true freshman Cam Akers who has 87 carries for 454 yards and a touchdown this season.

The Seminoles travel to Boston College and will play the rare Friday night game.
