Since beginning the season with only one win in their first five matches, the Florida State Seminoles women's volleyball team has been close to unbeatable, and they take their game up a notch while playing ACC opponents.

With three wins over conference teams since November 2, the Seminoles have moved into second place in the ACC standings behind the Pittsburgh Panthers, who make the trip to Tully Gym to face these 'Noles on Friday. Florida State began the month with wins on the road over Notre Dame and Louisville, two of the top five teams in the ACC. They then beat the Irish again at home on Nov. 11 to move their conference record to 13-2 and 17-8 overall.

Nearing the end of the regular season, Florida State controls their own destiny. If the Seminoles can beat Pitt, then take care of a struggling North Carolina and middle-of-the-road NC State team, they will be crowned ACC Champions. Even though the Panthers have only lost once this season, the 'Noles have been almost just as good since the start of the conference schedule.
With the win, the Seminoles have won 10 of their last 11 matches. If they can end the season with 14 wins in their last 15, their ACC crown will also lead to a top-seed in the NCAA Tournament.
