Brandon Buckner is one of the more explosive prospects in the 2021 recruiting class. The 6-foot-1 defensive end excelled for Chandler High School in Arizona, and is ready to take his talents to the next level.

Buckner, a three-star recruit, is the son of Brentson Buckner, a former NFL defensive end who now works as a defensive line coach for the Arizona Cardinals.
Brentson will get to watch his son start his own journey next fall when he suits up for the Oregon Ducks.

Brandon Buckner has a pedigree and solid track record. It's understandable why so many teams reached out with scholarship offers.
Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Iowa State, Maryland, Oregon State, USC, UNLV, and Washington State all tried to court the talented edge rusher and linebacker. Teams like Alabama, Boise State, Nevada, UCLA, and Utah also expressed interest, according to 247Sports.

Oregon has been a Pac-12 Championship mainstay for several seasons, and it doesn't look like they'll be easy to beat in 2021, either.
In addition to landing Buckner, head coach Mario Cristobal signed four-star offensive lineman Bram Walden, quarterback Ty Thompson, and offensive tackle Jonah Miller to play in Eugene.

Brandon Buckner is a ferocious defensive end and outside linebacker who should have no problems adjusting his style of play to the college level. In his highlight video, he follows the action well and can keep pace with running backs and tight ends competently.
While Buckner is great, his three-star designation likely means there are some things to work on with the Oregon coaching staff. He can play on the edge at defensive end or in an OLB role.
If he can continue to get stronger and adjust his footwork, the sky is the limit for Buckner's potential, especially since his father has connections to the NFL.
Brandon Buckner is the latest recruit signed to bring Oregon back to the College Football Playoff shortly.
It won't be easy, of course, but Cristobal has a formidable squad and recruiting class once again.
