In a college football world where players putting up monster statistical numbers is more than normal, nobody had a better weekend than Houston Cougars quarterback D'Eriq King. The junior filled up the box score in a crazy way Saturday afternoon.

In Houston's 57-36 victory over USF, King went off for 551 all-purpose yards and seven touchdowns at TDECU Stadium. It was truly a performance fit for a King.
However, the 5-foot-11 signal caller was not alone. Several other players put on quite the show of their own to earn FanBuzz College Football Players of the Week honors heading into November.
Offense: D'Eriq King (Houston)
Statistics: 28-for-40, 419 passing yards, 12 carries, 132 rushing yards, 7 total touchdowns (2 rushing)
Whether it was torching the USF secondary with his arm or making defenders miss with his legs, King was in full control all game. The junior did throw two interceptions, but that's easy to forgive when he puts up those kinds of numbers against a good team and for a much-needed win.
Defense: Josh Allen (Kentucky)
Statistics: 11 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles
A last-second touchdown by the Wildcats is what most fans will remember from the crazy game in Columbia, Missouri, but Allen was so impressive against the Tigers and quarterback Drew Lock. Having 11 tackles, including nine solo, and two forced fumbles was a pretty amazing day at the office for the senior linebacker.
Special Teams: Colten Rastetter (Iowa)
Statistics: 7 punts, 259 yards, 1-for-1, 10 passing yards, 1 touchdown
With quarterback Nate Stanley struggling, Rastetter was sure busy Saturday afternoon. He did well, too, averaging 37 yards per kick in rainy conditions, but he doesn't get the award here for his leg. The junior punter threw a touchdown on a wild trick play and no other punter in the country can say that.
Freshman: Tobias Oliver (Georgia Tech)
Statistics: 40 carries, 215 yards, 3 touchdowns
The Yellow Jackets beat Virginia Tech without completing a single pass, and Oliver's legs were a big reason why. The 6-foot-2 redshirt freshman quarterback gashed the Hokies for over 200 yards and three touchdowns to pick up one of the rarest wins you will ever see. Oliver is only going to get better, too.
