The Arkansas Razorbacks are looking for something, really anything, to get going. The once-proud college football team fell on hard times in recent years, and head coach Chad Morris has struggled to crack the code for success in the SEC so far. Some changes obviously need to be made in Fayetteville, but this next one will certainly raise some eyebrows.

Morris named redshirt freshman John Stephen Jones the starting quarterback for the Razorbacks' upcoming game against Western Kentucky. It will mark the sixth different starter since Morris took over last season, as noted by Andrew Hutchinson, but that's not why it's getting so much attention.
Jones is the grandson of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

This will mark the third starting QB for the Razorbacks this season. Graduate transfer Ben Hicks started four games, including the most recent loss to Mississippi State, while former Texas A&M quarterback Nick Starkel started five.
The Razorbacks are 2-7 overall and winless in the SEC. That's why Morris made the switch, despite his respect for his veteran signal callers.
"We couldn't get the consistency that we needed. But they were back in here yesterday and eager to help these young guys continue to grow and mature. And if their opportunity arises they're going to be prepared to step in there if it comes to that."

Jones, a former three-star recruit at Highland Park High School near Dallas, Texas, has completed 10 of 16 passes for 74 yards with two touchdowns, including a touchdown pass against Alabama in the second half last month, and no interceptions.
No matter how well he does against the Hilltoppers, who ironically will be starting former Hogs QB Ty Storey, Arkansas also plans on using true freshman KJ Jefferson at quarterback, too.
Still, you better believe the Jones family, a rather prominent one in the NFL, is pumped.
"Oh I'll tell you, I'm so proud of him. He got some really good snaps against Alabama, the No. 1 team in the nation, and came back last week and got a touchdown for him to get a start. To get to start at quarterback in the SEC, you can have no one on this planet that appreciates that long journey and the ups and downs it takes to get there than Old Papa. I'm really proud of him and going to be there to watch his first warmup throw."

That's right, the Arkansas flags will be out in full force come Saturday as the Razorbacks look to, finally, find an answer.
