Rivalry games are meant for trash-talking and fierce competitions on the field. While there is a ton of bad blood between rivals, nowhere in the sports world is intentional, targeted injury something that should be tolerated.

When one anti-Alabama Crimson Tide man called into the Paul Finebaum Show on Tuesday, he made the claim that the LSU Tigers should go after, and intentionally try to take out, star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's knee, citing that it's a "legal tackle" to do so.
Darriel, a man from Columbus, started his tirade by saying of Alabama: "The fall is going to be hard, and I'm going to love every freakin' minute of it."
He then launched off on a three-minute shouting match about how LSU should go after Alabama's quarterback with the intention to hurt him.
"The way you beat Alabama is you take out Tua's knee. Who cares about a head shot? Take out a knee and you got them beat. They still have not beaten nobody. I'm glad they're disrespecting LSU like this. When they knock Tua out,, and LSU wins, and Alabama struggles to beat Mississippi State and then loses to Auburn, it's over. It is o-v-e-r. That's the way it's going to play out, you watch. There's nothing wrong with it." — Darriel, via The Paul Finebaum Show
"I hope they break damn Tua's knee off. I hope LSU stomps their ass," he added.
Not only his Darriel's ridiculous suggestion out of the question, this clown then deems it necessary to suggest that if Alabama loses to LSU on November 3 in Death Valley, that a team beating its opponents by an average margin of 38.2 points per game will somehow spiral wildly out of control the rest of the season.
"You know me, I don't preach," Finebaum retaliated. "Anyone that would call into this program or put on Twitter this suggestion of doing serious injury to a college football player is disgusting. It may be legal, but it's still disgusting and it's despicable. I can't believe you would even write that down."
Finebaum, known for his staunch defense of all things SEC related, puts this guy in his place before ultimately ending his call by saying, "There is something wrong with doing it with intent. If that's what you want, I hope you have a happy life, but that's not what normal people wish for. I'm not going to make much out of this."
This guy's ridiculous tirade is obviously the norm for him, as he fired off a series of tweets that have been, as you'd expect, condemned from all sides by Alabama fans.

This is why targeting Tua's knee makes perfect sense. https://t.co/OIwK7bKZ58

I say shit to see what type reaction I will get back. Only to see how pathetic some are. To take a comment personal regarding a football team for a University you never attended is sad....Its also why people around the country think like they do regarding your state. Ask them!!

No more hitting the qb when he isnt looking or lowering your head to jar the ball loose by ramming your helmet into the player....We dont want anyone to get hurt....please...

It only takes a few moments before you register a first impression of someone. Well, it took Darriel from Columbus about 45 seconds before everybody listening to the Paul Finebaum Show to realize he's nothing more than a hot-headed, outlandish, anti-Alabama fan.
It's worth noting that he's a Georgia Bulldogs supporter, so I'm sure there are no hard feelings for that time Tua knocked off his team to win the College Football Playoff national title...
