Chip Kelly has been linked to the Florida and UCLA jobs now, but he has yet to sign with any school. That may not be because he is pulling anyone's leg or is indecisive. In fact, it may be so that he gets more money out of one of his former NFL teams that is still paying him. That's according to Buddy Martin, a longtime Florida journalist and co-author of Steve Spurrier's autobiography.

Kelly reportedly won't accept the Florida job, if he does end up taking it, until after the Florida State game. The reasoning is that Kelly won't get his $5 million payout from the San Francisco 49ers if he takes the job before the Gators' season is over. Martin clarified his initial report though with this statement:
He coached the 49ers for a year after he was with the Philadelphia Eagles for three years. Of course, he spent four years at Oregon before that and led the Ducks to a national title game as well as some prominent bowl games. Kelly has been described as "a great fit" by Colin Cowherd and would certainly bring some liveliness to the offense that it hasn't seen in a long time.
