No. 1 JUCO DE Dorian Gerald says he can “definitely” see himself at one rising program

Dorian Gerald had some interesting words for his next possible team.

Dorian Gerald, the No. 1 ranked JUCO defensive end, can apparently see himself with the Florida Gators, but not so much the Ole Miss Rebels.

Having visited the Florida campus, Gerald had nothing but praise to hurl to everything Gators related.

"I really enjoyed myself," said Gerald to 247 Sports. It was definitely more than I expected. It really was. Florida is a great place, great coaches, and the players, I just gel well with them."

"I go to schools and I see how well, if I wasn't a football player, could I see myself here, and I definitely can see myself at Florida."

Oddly enough, it won't be his positive Florida vibes that will get the most attention from recruiting maniacs. It will be his thoughts on Ole Miss, the program he was originally supposed to visit before going to Florida.

"They were trying to get me down to Ole Miss. I planned to come here [Florida] first," explained Gerald. "The first day I was in Arkansas, I was like 'I'm not going to go to Florida.' I slept on it, the next morning I called them because I left Friday. I called them and said 'Nah, I'm coming to Florida.' ... Ole Miss, a lot of stuff going on over there that I want to stay away from it."

He isn't wrong. There does happen to be a plethora of things surrounding the Ole Miss program, mostly due to Hugh Freeze's usage of cellular telephone devices.

Freeze was caught with burner phones and school-issued ones that he had been using to contact an escort service while with Ole Miss. The disgraced former Rebels coach is currently on an attempted tour of redemption and quality control.

Circling slightly back to Gerald, he told 247Sports scheme is important. Projected as a 3-4 type of a defensive end, the only program he's considering that runs that scheme happens to be the Gators.

Dorian has offers from Arkansas, Florida, Louisville, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Alabama, Florida State, LSS and others.
