Tim Tebow sheds light on potential future with the XFL

Here's what Tebow had to say.

Former Florida Gators Heisman winning quarterback Tim Tebow is a guy many presume to be headed to the XFL when Vince McMahon's retooled league hits the field in 2020. However, Tebow isn't even thinking about that just yet.

In an interview with SEC Country, when asked about possibly playing some football for the XFL, Tebow responded in kind:

"To be honest, I really haven't given it any thought," Tebow told SEC Country about the XFL. "I've got too many important things going on, and I'm getting ready for spring training in slightly over a week."

"Not really," he continued. "Honestly, it's the beginning of 2018. And they're talking about that in 2020. I've got a lot of life in front of me before that even happens. So I'm not even going to worry about it."

Tebow, who is somehow still only 30-years-old, is currently dominating landscapes that have nothing to do with him attempting to hurl a pigskin around to other members of the human species. He has turned out to be a wonderful college football personality and has even attempted to play some minor league baseball (not so great here).

McMahon would likely love having Tebow join his league, as he'd be a huge draw for his customer base. Unfortunately for him, unless the former Denver Broncos, New York Jets, and kinda/sorts New England Patriots gunslinger wants to make less money playing football than talking about football, this seems unlikely.

Of note, it has been reported that McMahon will take a lesser role in the WWE, forcing Triple H to man the helm, as he turns his attention to the XFL.

Then again, you just never know if Tebow will get that itch when the XFL's launch inches closer.
