Nation's No. 3 Athlete Gives Georgia a Potential Stud Defender

David Daniel does not have a designated position. He played all over the field at Woodstock High School, and his ability to line up in different positions has paid off in a big way in the form of NCAA scholarships.

After choosing between nearly two dozen offers, Daniel decided that he'll travel to Athens to play for the Georgia Bulldogs in 2021.

David Daniel decided on the Dawgs in 2019, but that doesn't mean that other teams didn't try to flip him.

Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Nebraska, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Wisconsin all all offered Daniel a scholarship, too.

Head coach Kirby Smart has a knack for recruiting within the Peach State, and Daniel becomes the latest Georgia football commit to meet that qualifier.

Daniel may have experience on both sides of the ball, but the Bulldogs see a future defensive back.

Once again, the Bulldogs have stocked up on some great talent during this recruiting class.

David Daniel Highlights

As seen in his highlight tape, David Daniel can play everywhere.

In 2020, he lined up as a cornerback, safety, linebacker, running back, and wide receiver. As a result, he is considered the nation's No. 3 ATH; you can't teach that Swiss army knife-style of versatility.

UGA reached the College Football Playoff just a few years ago, but it's hard to get back there, especially with teams like Alabama and LSU wreaking havoc. It's imperative that the team recruits well, or else it will always be an uphill battle.

David Daniel has all the makings of a playmaker at the college level. If he lives up to his hype, the NFL may not be too far away.
