Xavian Sorey has become one of the best players in the 2021 recruiting class. At 6-foot-3 and 214 pounds, the linebacker is an imposing force on the field and has excelled for both Graceville High School and IMG Academy.
Sorey is ready for the next level. He will be moving from Bradenton, Florida, to Athens, Georgia, and play his college football with the Georgia Bulldogs.
Sorey signed his Letter of Intent on National Signing Day and will help bolster head coach Kirby Smart's team as soon as he reaches the field.

The Bulldogs had some competition in their quest to sign Sorey. Programs like Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Kentucky, LSU, and Miami reached out as well.
Before the early signing period, the Dawgs had no trouble luring talent to Athens, and Sorey only makes the team better. Together, Sorey and fellow signee Smael Mondon will punish opposing offenses for years to come as part of a fearsome linebacking corps.

OLB Xavian Sorey Jr. Highlights
Sorey has proven that he is an explosive athlete on both sides of the ball. In addition to his duties as an outside linebacker, Sorey was also called upon as a running back frequently.
Over his last two seasons, he totaled 65 tackles and five touchdowns. The teams he played on consistently went deep into the playoffs, so he has had a taste of sustained success in the past.
His accolades don't stop there: Sorey is an All-American, and the 247Sports Composite rates him as a five-star prospect, including No. 20 overall.
If things go well, he will definitely be taken in the NFL Draft. UGA is banking on Sorey's potential, as they have to compete with the other powerhouses in the SEC yearly.
Even though the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted the recruiting process, Sorey was able to commit without issue.
Georgia football has reached the College Football Playoff in the past, and this excellent recruiting class ensures that they will be in a great position to do so again soon.
