Talladega is So Massive, You Can Fit 14 Football Stadiums Inside It

There are massive sports venues across the country, like Alabama's Bryant-Denny Stadium, and then there's Talladega Superspeedway. The motorsports complex in Lincoln, Alabama is truly one of a kind and makes even the largest college football stadiums and athlete mansions look like doll houses.

With the NASCAR Xfinity Series - MoneyLion 300 and Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series - GEICO 500 coming up later this month, the clever people at Talladega decided to flex its muscles by reminding the world just how massive it really is in a big-time way.

If you took the Crimson Tide's football stadium in Tuscaloosa and Auburn's Jordan-Hare Stadium and put it in the middle of Talladega, you could have Alabama's largest tailgating party ever. The two SEC stadiums don't even really make a dent inside NASCAR's longest oval track.

It makes perfect sense to show those two stadiums at first. After all, they are located less than two hours away from the speedway. But how many more football stadiums could you fit inside the pit?

As it turns out, you can get all 14 SEC football stadiums inside and still run the race. EVERY. SINGLE. STADIUM.

That means Bryant-Denny Stadium (Alabama), Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium (Arkansas), Jordan-Hare Stadium (Auburn), Ben Hill Griffin Stadium (Florida), Sanford Stadium (Georgia), Kroger Field (Kentucky), Tiger Stadium (LSU), Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field (Mississippi State), Vaught-Hemingway Stadium (Ole Miss), Faurout Field at Memorial Stadium (Missouri), Williams-Brice Stadium (South Carolina), Kyle Field (Texas A&M), Neyland Stadium (Tennessee) and Vanderbilt Stadium (Vanderbilt) could all just live in the middle of Talladega Superspeedway. It's crazy.

According to Talladega digital and social media manager Kyle Easterling, via AL.com, the infield is 247 acres and could house 180 football fields. They have also done this project by putting every World Cup venue and 10 AT&T Stadiums — the home of the NFL's Dallas Cowboys and also known as Jerry World — inside the graphic of the speedway in past years.

"With the SEC over here, anything you do with college football is naturally going to get a bigger reaction. We've done things with the schools before. It makes it easier to picture what the size of something is like. So, if someone has been to Bryant-Denny, they know how big that is and you see the inside of Talladega, it just blows your mind. It is just an easy way to put it in perspective for people."

Well, Talladega Superspeedway, consider our minds blown. That's just insane to think about.
