Tennessee suffers another decommitment as coaching search continues

Tennessee suffered yet another decommitment as it continues its long coaching search.

Four-star athlete Cameron Wynn announced his decision to decommit from the Vols on Tuesday via Twitter.

The Chattanooga native ranks as the No. 31 athlete and No. 308 overall prospect for the 2018 national recruiting cycle, according to 247Sports' Composite rankings.

Wynn, who committed to the Vols in April, has offers from four other teams including Florida Atlantic, Ole Miss, UT-San Antonio and Vanderbilt.

Tennessee fired former head coach Butch Jones in November and has experienced a tumultuous coaching search this offseason.

Multiple reports claimed Tennessee was "finalizing a deal" with Ohio State defensive coordinator Greg Schiano last month, which resulted in protests by fans through social media and on UT's campus and forced the agreement to fall through.

Former athletic director John Currie, who conducted the majority of the search so far, was fired and replaced by former Tennessee head coach Phillip Fulmer on Friday after just eight months on the job.
