Son of 4-time NFL Pro Bowler announces decommitment from Tennessee following reports of Greg Schiano hiring

The Vols lost a key commitment on Sunday

UPDATE: Tennessee will not hire Greg Schiano

Four-star cornerback prospect Jaycee Horn announced his decommitment from Tennessee via Twitter on Sunday shortly after the reports emerged on the Volts' hiring of head coach Greg Schiano.

"I want to thank Coach (Butch) Jones and the staff for giving me the opportunity to play at such a great university," Horn wrote in a note posted on his Twitter account. "I also want to thank the fans for always rooting for me and (their) endless support. This is one of the hardest decisions I've made, but ultimately I have to make the best decision for me.

Horn announced his commitment to the Vols during an exclusive live stream for SECCountry.com in July.

Horn, the son of former Pro Bowl wide receiver Joe Horn, ranks as the No. 25 cornerback and the No. 219 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite rankings for the 2018 national recruiting cycle.

Tennessee currently ranks No. 19 overall in the 247Sports Team Composite, which is also seventh among SEC schools.
