New school emerging for huge 300-pound grad transfer Calvin Anderson

He is perhaps the most coveted grad transfer on the market.

The graduate transfer market is always interesting in college football and, this time around, one of the marquee players available happens to come from Rice. Yes, Rice.

Calvin Anderson was a three-year starter for the program and, after graduating, he is one of the bigger draws for major programs looking to fortify the offensive line. The 300-pound offensive tackle already released some of a top five to Bruce Feldman of Sports Illustrated and, in the aftermath, Anderson added another interesting destination that could be emerging.

While the top five is Michigan, Texas, Auburn, Oklahoma and TCU for now, Anderson noted to Feldman that it is "plausible that Texas A&M could rise above TCU" in his top five. He is reportedly scheduled to chat with the Texas A&M staff (coming off a huge recruiting class at the high school level) and Anderson holds an offer from the Aggies.

Of course, Texas A&M would seemingly have a lot of work to do, especially in overcoming the duo of Texas and Michigan, which Anderson noted as the "first tier" recently. Still, the Aggies have a ton of upward momentum and, considering they appear to have a conversation lined up, anything is possible at this point.
