Walk-up songs are such an underrated part of baseball games.

When I was in high school, a teammate thought it'd be funny to pick the song I'd have to trot up to home plate to four times a game. Little did he know Miley Cyrus' "Party In The U.S.A." would turn out to be one of my favorite jams.
However, I can only imagine the embarrassment a young baseball player would feel if their own freakin' mom picked out their walk-up song. Especially if she chose the theme song of her favorite show.
Oh, the horror!

I feel so bad for this kid, but at the same time this is just the funniest thing ever.
When "No. 14, Brandon Cornwell" hears his name called over the PA system and mentally prepares to face the opposing pitcher, he's instantly embarrassed by his mom.
Mother dearest chose "Thank You for Being a Friend," the famed theme song for the hit sitcom "Golden Girls" originally recorded by Andrew Gold and covered by Cynthia Fee for the show.
Once those iconic first six words played aloud at the field, Brandon instantly dropped his bat to the ground and probably blushed like he's never blushed before. He throws his hand in the air as if to say, "who the heck approved this?" before a coach tells him to get in the box and hit.
The woman filming, which may or may not be his mom, can be heard laughing hysterically. The rest of the parents in attendance got a kick out of it as well.
The video was posted by a TikTok account and made its rounds on social media. It was posted to the House of Highlights Instagram account and received more than 280,000 likes.
Something tells me Rose, Dorothy, Blanche and Sophia would have approved of this.
I wonder how Brandon did in that at-bat. There's no way he regained focus after his mom's embarrassing stunt.
