Brock Prudy's ascension from three-star high school recruit to "Mr. Irrelevant" in the 2022 NFL Draft and now NFL MVP favorite with the San Francisco 49ers has been remarkable.

It's a story that only few quarterbacks can ever say they experienced, whether that's Tom Brady's path at Michigan or Kurt Warner's grocery store origin. For the 23-year-old kid from Arizona, this could be the start of something similar.
Purdy, alongside stars like Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel and Nick Bosa, is leading the Niners as the best team in the NFC West. While the NFL was slow to see the Iowa State product's potential, Brock Purdy's fiancée, Jenna Brandt, knew all along.

Before he was keeping he 49ers' playoff hopes alive last season following injuries to Trey Lance and Jimmy Garoppolo, Purdy met Brandt, a volleyball player, at Iowa State.
While the two didn't make their relationship "social media official" until 2022, posting a pic with a caption that read, "My roots and my boy," it's clear the two connected in Ames, Iowa.
Brandt played volleyball for the Cyclones for three seasons before transferring to the University of Northern Iowa in 2021, calling the opportunity to play for NIU's volleyball team "a dream come true." Part of the reason for Brandt's joy in playing for the Panthers was the proximity to her parents, Kevin and Amy Brandt, who raised her in Sumner, Iowa, less than an hour away from Cedar Falls.
While Brandt is busy supporting her husband-to-be in the NFL, she also has a sister, Morgan Brandt, who plays volleyball at Iowa State right now.
In November, Jenna posted a video of Brock learning her family's trade in Iowa: farming. Funny enough, it came during the 49ers' bye week. Some quarterbacks vacation to Mexico on their bye week. But Purdy stays true to his roots.
Brock Proposed Before the 2023 Season
Just before the preseason got underway, Purdy dropped to one knee and popped the question to Jenna in July 2023.
"WE GET TO DO LIFE TOGETHER...FOREVER!" she wrote on Instagram. "Brock Purdy - I love everything about you & your heart for Jesus more than any words can say."
Added Brock on Instagram: "My Jenna girl forever. I can't wait to be your husband and grow together in Christ. Here's to forever babe. I love you JB!"
But his No. 1 fan will always be Jenna. She recognized from the start that he was anything but irrelevant, and she'll be right by his side if he can take the 49ers to the Super Bowl this year.
