TMZ reported the news over the weekend and said that the couple broke up after an argument during their joint bachelor and bachelorette parties in the Bahamas. The outlet noted that Ramos is the one who called off the wedding.

Ramos notably still has photos from both her bachelorette party and her bridal shower up on her Instagram account, as of press time.

"I truly believe you can get through anything in life as long as you have really great friends. I love these girls so much," Ramos posted along with photos of her friends at the bachelorette party.

Prescott and Ramos, who have two children together, got engaged in 2024. The Cowboys quarterback proposed while their infant wore a onesie reading, "Hi, mommy. Daddy has a question for you."

With the engagement reportedly off, Prescott will likely shift his focus toward the upcoming season and an opportunity to rebound. The Cowboys missed the playoffs last season after going 7-9-1, marking the second consecutive season.

The offense produced during the season as the veteran quarterback threw for more than 4,500 yards with 30 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He led the NFL with 404 completions. He had multiple four-touchdown games, but the Cowboys lost some "track meets" while fielding the 30th-ranked defense.

The team underwent some changes over the offseason. Most notable is that head coach Brian Schottenheimer fired defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus. The Cowboys have since hired Christian Parker, who previously worked on the Eagles staff.

The 2026 season provides another opportunity for the Cowboys to get back into playoff contention. Prescott, in particular, can try to reach the postseason for the sixth time. He has gone 2-5 in seven career postseason games, and he has never reached the NFC championship game.
