Once again, the Oakland Raiders set a new low in their season losing to third-string quarterback Nick Mullens and the San Francisco 49ers, 34-3.
Yet another embarrassing performance by the Raiders and their head coach Jon Gruden. Gruden has turned this team with potential to contend in the AFC into a bunch of pretenders.
The Raiders are just two years removed from having one of the best offensive teams in their history, now they sit with a 1-7 record with two of their number one draft picks traded away and contributing big for other teams.
This is Oakland Raiders football? No, this is Jon Gruden football. Trade a bunch of your great players for number one draft picks and pray it works out in the end.

Gruden has always been considered by many football experts as a football genius, but his overall record says otherwise. Gruden is slightly above .500 with a 96-88 record including his win in Super Bowl XXXVII.
The Raiders under Jack Del Rio had a 25-23 record including a 12-4 record his second year as head coach. But because of the team's 6-10 record last year, the Raiders fired him to rehire Gruden, which to this point looks like a huge mistake.
Some people think that the trading of Amari Cooper to the Dallas Cowboys and Khalil Mack to the Chicago Bears is some part of Gruden's grand plan.
What the grand plan is however, no one knows.
I don't think part of Gruden's grand plan was for the Raiders to go 1-7 suffering one of their worst seasons ever and having fans wondering what the hell he's doing?
Let's be honest here, Gruden's greatest success as a head coach was taking Tony Dungy's roster with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a Super Bowl victory.
Gruden hasn't won a Super Bowl with his own personnel, which is why it is strange to see him get all this credit for being a football guru.
Part of that is because of his stint on ESPN as an NFL analyst, but when it comes to building his own team, he comes off looking like an inexperienced high school coach. The Raiders weren't that far from being a Super Bowl contender. With the addition of a few good trades here and there or a few pick ups in free agency, they could have been right back in it.
Instead, they are staring down the barrel of one of the worst seasons in NFL history with a coach who seems to be out of touch with today's game and today's players, and seems lost on the sideline.
