Throughout the years, NFL quarterbacks have sent gifts to their offensive linemen. After all, those guys are responsible for protecting him from vicious blitzes on Sundays. Think of it as a major investment and Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson just made sure the bruisers up front got taken care of.

Earlier this month, Wilson became the highest-paid player in the league when he signed a four-year, $140 million contract extension. He flexed on us all when he announced the news in bed with his wife Ciara. Now, he's forked out a lot of money to take care of each lineman.
The gift? The entire Seahawks offensive line just received $12,000 in Amazon stock, courtesy of the Pro Bowl signal caller.
"You sacrifice your physical and mental well-being to protect me, which in turn allows me to provide and care for my family."

With 13 linemen on the roster, Russell Wilson just spent a cool $156,000 as a gift. The gesture is awesome, but the letter he sent with it, which was obtained by TMZ Sports, is what makes this gift so special.
"Every Sunday we go to battle together.
"You sacrifice your physical and mental well-being to protect me, which in turn allows me to provide and care for my family. This does not go unnoticed and it is never forgotten.
"Now it is my turn to return the favor. I would not be where I am today without you working to be great day in and day out. When I sat down to think of ways to honor your dedication a dozen different ideas came to mind. Some were flashy, some were cool, but I wanted to give you something that had a lasting impact. Something that would affect the lives of you, your family, and your children.
"We all have dreams of what we can build and accomplish off the field. One important lesson I have learned thus far in my career: The memories on the field will last forever, but we have to constantly prepare for life after football.
"One of the ways I prepare is by investing in companies and ideas that I believe will grow and change the world. One of these companies is Amazon.
"I am gifting you and your family $12,000 worth of Amazon stock to help you achieve your dreams.
"You have invested in my life... this is my investment into yours.
"From my family to yours,
"We Are Forever Grateful."

Ladies and gentlemen, that's love right there. And the $12,000 is a creative touch from the Super Bowl champion with Seattle always being referred to as the "12th Man" or the "12s."
What's crazy is while that is an extremely generous gift, there's actually a signed Russell Wilson game used ball that's worth more on Amazon.
What are some other gifts? Action Network's Darren Rovell shared some of the different ideas throughout NFL history via Twitter.
Russell Wilson has gifted his offensive linemen $12,000 in Amazon stock (would be equivalent to about seven shares each). How does that rank? Here’s a list of some of the gifts QB’s gave to their pocket protectors. pic.twitter.com/g9qHLSUxuM

Tom Brady gave his offensive linemen Audis, Joe Montana provided a gold Rolex, Carson Palmer had hot tubs delivered, and Joe Flacco bought a lot of random things over the years, including a slushy machine.
Russell Wilson isn't the first NFL player to do this. He's just the latest. And the 30-year-old wanted to make sure his appreciation is shown and that he's protected next season.
