Very Shocking Details Explain Why Arn Anderson was Fired by WWE

As previously reported, WWE Hall of Famer Arn Anderson was surprisingly fired from the company. There was major speculation and multiple reports as to why he was let go, but nothing was confirmed. That speculation became much more clear after a report from Wrestling Inc. regarding what happened. According to the report, Anderson, who was the agent of Alicia Fox, allowed her to compete at a WWE Live event while intoxicated. This infuriated WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon, and Anderson was subsequently dismissed from his position and released from the company.

An additional report from the Wrestling Observer Live stated that many wrestlers backstage are siding with Arn regarding this situation. Over the years, many wrestlers highly respected Arn and credited him to being an instrumental part of them becoming successful due to his expert advice. Regarding the WWE status of Fox, it is currently unknown, but she was not backstage at WWE Raw and has not competed since early February.

Anderson has been working with WWE since WCW folded in 2001. He became an agent following an unsuccessful run as color commentator when WWE tried to maintain the WCW brand. However, WWE decided to cancel WCW for good, and Arn assumed a backstage role.

Anderson retired from active in-ring competition on a full-time basis in 1997. Anderson spent the latter part of his career teaming with Steve "Mongo" McMichael, competing against Eddie Guerrero & Jeff Jarrett, the Dungeon of Doom, and the Amazing French Canadians. After a three-year hiatus, Anderson returned to the ring, but was defeated by David Flair on the May 9, 2000 episode of WCW Thunder. He also competed in one more match in 2000, teaming with Ric Flair on the May 16, 2000 episode of WCW Thunder, defeated the team of David Flair and Crowbar.
