WWE announces four major matches ahead of post-Royal Rumble Monday Night Raw

It's official!

The WWE has announced four huge matches will take place on the Monday Night Raw following the 2018 Royal Rumble.

Arguably the biggest of the the four is Roman Reigns receiving his rematch with The Miz. And yes, friends, this will be with the Intercontinental Championship on the line.

Here's how the WWE is pitching that match to fans:

"One week after losing the Intercontinental Title to The Miz at Raw 25, Roman Reigns will bring the fight to The A-Lister in a rematch tonight, live on Raw. Will The Big Dog carry the workhorse title all the way to The Show of Shows?"

Big Dogs and Show of Shows and stuff. Anyway...

The other three are qualifying matches for the upcoming Elimination Chamber.

  • John Cena vs. Finn Balor
  • Elias vs. Matt Hardy
  • Braun Strowman vs. Kane in a Last Man Standing match

Why the Kane-Strowman qualifying match has an added stipulation is unknown, but it is likely being done to protect the elder performer from the horribleness that is getting pinned on television.

Other than that, it will be interesting to see the fallout from a wonderful Royal Rumble the night before. We not only had a tremendous Women's Royal Rumble, with Ronda Rousey debuting, but a bunch of other neat things happened.

Monday Night Raw should be legit.
