A historic Formula 1 Grand Prix has been revived for a surprise reason. The Monaco Grand Prix is taking center stage in an upcoming heist film.

The currently untitled Ocean's 11 prequel has officially started filming. A video posted on Instagram has shown that filmmakers have recreated the 1962 Monaco Grand Prix. Instead of modern walls, the course features hay bales in several areas.
The video footage also shows some classic F1 cars sliding around a turn on the Monaco course while a modern camera car follows to capture footage.

Four films have been released in the Ocean's Eleven remake universe. The first featured George Clooney's Danny Ocean getting his crew together for a heist of three Las Vegas casinos run by Andy Garcia's Terry Benedict.
Ocean's Twelve featured the crew reuniting for three heists in Europe after Benedict tracked them all down. Ocean's Thirteen then took the crew back to Las Vegas to rob casino owner Willy Bank (Al Pacino).
Ocean's Eight took the franchise in a different direction. It focused on Ocean's sister, played by Sandra Bullock. She organized an all-female crew to pull off a heist during the Met Gala in New York City. This film also featured such stars as Cate Blanchett and Anne Hathaway.
The untitled prequel will not focus on Danny Ocean; instead, the film will look back at the longtime con man's parents. The film is expected to feature Margot Robbie and Bradley Cooper as Ocean's parents. Additionally, Cooper will direct.
"Before Danny Ocean ever stepped foot in Vegas, two masterminds taught him everything he knows — his parents," Robbie said during CinemaCon. "You'll see them in their prime, and in our new movie, pulling off an epic heist at the 1962 Monaco Grand Prix."
The film has already started filming, which the videos on social media showed. The prequel is expected to land in theaters on June 25, 2027.
