The team announced on Tuesday that Coca-Cola 600 winner Daniel Suarez has signed a contract extension. Spire Motorsports did not provide terms of the deal or any other details, but Suarez had the opportunity to let his fans know with a video.

This contract extension is not much of a surprise after the Mexico native recently expressed optimism that he would return to Spire Motorsports in 2027. He told SiriusXM NASCAR Radio hosts that talks were progressing with the team.
"Yeah, yeah, we are going to be fine," Suarez said on Monday when asked about the ongoing contract talks. "Obviously, it's not every day that you put a new team together with a new driver, a new crew chief, new people within the team, and the team is as strong right away.
"We have something good going on here. We know that we want to continue together, that we're happy with each other. And we want to continue to win more races and continue to be competitive."
Suarez, 34, has produced in his first season with Spire Motorsports. He has posted seven top-10 finishes, three top-fives, and one win in 32 races. His win was the Coca-Cola 600, one of NASCAR's four crown jewels.
Suarez also secured a spot in the Chase by performing consistently overall. He has an average finish of 15.2, which is a career-best in a full-time career dating back to the 2017 season when he drove for Joe Gibbs Racing.
Now that Suarez has signed his extension, Spire Motorsports has confirmed two members of the driver lineup for the 2027 season. Carson Hocevar signed a long-term extension earlier this season, one that takes him into the next decade.
Michael McDowell is the only other question mark at this point. He is still expected to return to the No. 71 Chevrolet, but the team has not confirmed it.
