A new No. 1 recruit has been named in the class rankings for 2018

You can guess where he might be committed to.

Cameron Reddish is a consensus top-10 recruit in the class of 2018 and now he's officially been named the top recruit in the class according to 247Sports. His performance in the National Hoops Festival put him over the top as he scored 87 points in two games and showed improvement from the last time he was evaluated.

The 6-foot-8, 211-pound small forward is already committed to Duke and has been since September. He also signed his letter of intent with the school last month so he is definitely set to become a Blue Devil. Here is part of 247Sports' evaluation of him right now:

Reddish has very good size for the position, impressive athletic ability and the potential to excel on both ends of the floor. A good ball handler, Reddish is creative off the bounce, is a talented finisher and a playmaker with the ball in his hands. Reddish's shot-making is notable as well. His shot mechanics are good and he has quite of bit of potential as a shooter and scorer.

R.J. Barrett and Zion Williamson were the biggest competition for Reddish, but 247Sports liked Reddish's scoring, shooting and playmaking abilities just a little better. It was also going to be hard for Williamson to get up there after he showed up to a camp earlier in the summer with some controversial measurements. Barrett is a skilled scorer, but isn't quite as big as Reddish. However, both will play together at the next level as Barrett is committed to Duke as well.

Reddish will likely need to put on a bit of weight at the next level, but that can be easily remedied. His high school coach also told 247Sports that Reddish lives in the gym and does two workouts a day so calling a "gym rat" is probably fair at this point. He also holds offers from Arizona, Kansas, UConn, Kentucky, Maryland, Syracuse and UCLA among others.
