Former Alabama defensive lineman Quinnen Williams admitted he wasn't even sure he would start for the Crimson Tide's defense last year. After a season filled with numerous accolades and national recognition, Williams ascended to the top of NFL Draft boards and is now being considered for the No. 1 overall pick. The 6-foot-3, 303 pounder arrived at the NFL Scouting Combine without much left to prove, yet he still raised every single eyebrow inside Lucas Oil Stadium with his performance.

Williams ran the 40-yard dash in 4.83 seconds, which is the fourth-fastest time by any player over 300 pounds since the 2006 combine. Every scout has confirmation that the kid from Birmingham, Alabama is built to be a perennial Pro Bowl talent, but they also know that all Quinnen Williams needs is four Double Stuf Oreos for breakfast, and he's good to go.
The Athletic's Vic Tafur reported that leading up to his record day, Williams arrived in Indianapolis for the NFL Combine without eating breakfast. All the Outland Trophy winner needed to get him going was four Double Stuf Oreos. Obviously, he's a man who knows football just as well as he knows that Double Stuf Oreos are far better than the original.
"No, I wasn't nervous at all, I was just ready to go," Williams told Tafur. "I just needed a little snack on the way."
After running a 4.87 — already freakishly fast — during his first attempt, Williams' agent, Nicole Lynn, advised him not to run the 40-yard dash again. I mean, there's no way a 300-pound defensive lineman who ate Oreos for breakfast could possibly top that time, right?
Williams went out and showcased his athleticism by shaving his time down even more, which officially registered at 4.83 seconds.

Williams only needed one season starting for head coach Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide to prove that he's going to be an NFL superstar for years to come. The big defensive tackle earned unanimous First-Team All-American honors by every major organization, was named a finalist for the Bronko Nagurski Trophy and Bednarik Award, both given to college football's best defensive player, and even finished eighth in the Heisman Trophy voting.
In 15 games last year, Williams recorded 71 tackles, 19.5 tackles for a loss and 8.0 sacks.
The biggest knock by NFL scouts on Quinnen Williams is upper body strength and size through his shoulders and chest. When nutritionists and strength coaches in the NFL get their hands on this kid, both of those problems are going to be solved in no time, making him even more worthy of the No. 1 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. All they have to do is get him to stop eating Double Stuf Oreos for breakfast.
"I really love Oreos," Williams said. "I hope they were watching today."
