Being an O'Neal must be exhausting. Following the size-22 footsteps of former NBA player Shaquille O'Neal brings its own set of challenges, not the least of which is being bombarded with dad's legacy. "The Big Aristotle" won four titles and a league MVP award in 2000, plus he made 15 All-Star games and 14 All-Pro teams. In college, he was a two-time All-American and two-time SEC Player of the Year for the LSU Tigers.
In retirement, Shaq's always busy. But whether it's DJing a party or working as a police officer, his kids always come first. His daughter, Amirah O'Neal, just made one of the biggest decisions of her life and is bringing another O'Neal jersey to Baton Rouge.
On Instagram, "Mimi" O'Neal announced her commitment to play college basketball at her dad's alma mater, joining head coach Nikki Fargas and the LSU Lady Tigers.

During her prep career at Crossroads High School in Santa Monica, O'Neal was named to MaxPreps' California Girls Basketball All-State Team after averaging 14.2 points and 10 rebounds as a junior. She was also named to the Southern Section All-Class 3AA basketball team that year.
She joins older brother Shareef O'Neal, a highly-touted men's basketball recruit who transferred to LSU from UCLA earlier this year.

Amirah is one of four children Shaq shares with ex-wife Shaunie O'Neal. Their youngest are both basketball players as well, Shaqir and Me'arah O'Neal.
In her first eight seasons, Fargas guided her LSU basketball team to five NCAA Tournaments. LSU was 20-10 during the 2019-20 season before the coronavirus pandemic and spread of COVID-19 forced the cancellation of all NCAA sports indefinitely.
