If you haven't been paying attention, Jachai Polite has been an absolute force of nature for Florida this year. The defensive end has undoubtedly shot up draft boards and could be looking at a seven-figure check come NFL Draft day.

Polite played a huge role in stifling Deandre Francois and Florida State's offense in UF's 41-14 win over its rival on Saturday, its first versus FSU since 2012. His 2.5 sacks, 3.5 tackles and forced fumble added to an already polished season worthy of top-5 consideration in program history.
Here's a look at a way-too-easy-looking sack and his forced fumble from Saturday:

So just where do Polite's numbers (11 sacks, 5 forced fumbles) rank among UF's single-season leaders?
Florida single-season sack leaders:
1. 13 — DE Alex Brown, 1999
2. 12.5 — OLB Huey Richardson, 1989
3. 12 — OLB Alonzo Johnson, 1985
4. 11.8 — DE Kevin Carter, 1994
5. 11 — DE Jachai Polite, 2018
5. 11 — DE Derrick Harvey, 2006
5. 11 — OLB Clifford Charlton, 1986
5. 11 — OLB Alonzo Johnson, 1984
5. 11 — OLB Wilber Marshall, 1981
Florida single-season forced fumble leaders:
1. 6 — Clifford Charlton, 1986
2. 5 — Jachai Polite, 2018
2. 5 — Marcus Maye, 2015
2. 5 — Guss Scott, 2003
2. 5 — Alex Brown, 1999
2. 5 — Lawrence Wright, 1995
2. 5 — Anthone Lott, 1995
2. 5 — Ellis Johnson, 1994
Ten of those 12 other players were drafted and six went in the first round. Five were taken in the top 15.
Polite will likely add his name to a list of recent UF defensive lineman taken in the first two rounds that includes Dante Fowler, Taven Bryan, Dominique Easley and Sharrif Floyd. The Gators have had a defensive player taken in the first round every year since 2013, and Polite could make it six straight years.
Mock draft projections say so, too.
CBS Sports has him going 21st overall. WalterFootball.com has him going 29th. USA Today projects him at No. 18, and Bleacher Report as high as 10th overall.
Polite is a walking highlight reel on and off the field, too. Like when he yawned during the FSU game because his job was too easy.
