Nation's No. 1 OG Trey Hill spurns Auburn, Florida State in his commitment

That's a big one.

The nation's No. 1 offensive guard in Trey Hill named his final four schools earlier in the week and now he's made his commitment. In an exclusive with SEC Country, he officially committed to Georgia over his other three schools like Auburn, Florida State and Florida.

The 6-foot-5, 346-pound behemoth out of Georgia is ranked as the top recruit at his position and No. 6 recruit in the state according to ESPN. He also has offers from Clemson, LSU, Miami and Michigan among others.

"They are a great program," Hill said of Georgia back in October (via 247Sports). "It is about where I want to go and where I feel best at. Family atmosphere, somewhere I can call home, where I am comfortable at."

It's safe to say he felt comfortable close to home and that was likely a big factor in his decision. He becomes their fourth-highest rated commit for the class of 2018 according to ESPN behind the top quarterback in Justin Fields, top running back in Zamir White and No. 4 receiver in Kearis Jackson. The Bulldogs currently have the No. 5 class in ESPN's rankings and still have room in the class with only 19 commits.
