This kid is nicknamed “Junior“, but don’t let that name fool you.

John Krahn stood 7 feet tall and 440 pounds when he played for Martin Luther King Jr. High School in Riverside, California, and he was an absolute beast of a lineman. He looks more like The Big Show than a football player, but according to MaxPreps, Krahn received some looks from Division 1 schools.

The highlights of his play in high school may not do the offensive lineman justice.

That, folks, may be the biggest high school football player to ever take the field. The way he makes his defenders look tiny is absolutely laughable. It’s no wonder he had to face double teams often.

According to MaxPreps, he received interest from many college coaches for his sheer size:

He participated in USA Football’s National Development Games in Los Angeles over the summer, where he definitely caught the eye of several college coaches in attendance.

“We had Division I coaches on site that said they’d consider offering him if he lost some weight,” USA Football’s Jimmy Thomas told MaxPreps. “They think he could be a force at a lighter weight.”

The good news? Krahn is still playing. Krahn is currently on Portland State’s football roster, though he has apparently slimmed down and is listed at 6-foot-10 and 395 pounds. He played in 12 games during the 2019 season as a backup offensive lineman and played at Riverside Community College prior to Portland State.

Please, get this man some snaps. I don’t care if it’s just to see how he does against a defensive lineman or giving him the ball as a running back. Football fans everywhere need more massive players like this doing awesome things on the gridiron.
